Join ACE, Alta Environmental Center and Matthew Utley for an informational class on Utah native plants. Matthew Utley is a horticultruist for Tracy Aviary, he has worked with Red Butte Gardens, and is the point person on the Rare Plant Surveys for "Wasatch Shooting Star" conducted by the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation and the Forest Service.
Everyone attending will receive a Native Seed Packet.
This class will include:
Learning what plants to grow
Information on collecting, storing and germinating seed
Planting (outside demonstration)
Identifying plants & where they grow best - We will walk around OLS to identify plants & their preferred habitat/conditions
