Alta Community Enrichment (ACE) is an arts, cultural events and educational 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the Alta/Snowbird community.
ACE offers year-round programming in our stimulating mountain environment. The events are varied and include the Wildflower, Snowflake and Telluride MountainFilm Festivals, Welcome to Winter Slide Show, Local Music and Artist Shows, Avalanche Education, Children's Art in the Mountains, to name a few. We have monthly yoga classes, dance and art instruction as well. Many of our events are inspired by input from local artists and families.
We are very proud of our Alta School Outreach Program, which establishes new art and cultural programming at our one room school located in Alta. ACE also supports the artistic and educational endeavors of local community members by offering two grants, the Artist Grant and the WEXL Education Grant. Each of these grants awards $1,000 each year to a local community member.
ACE highlights local artists and educators from Alta and the Salt Lake Valley. We work closely with the Utah Avalanche Center, Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, US Forest Service, the Town of Alta, Alta Historical Society and Friends of Alta.
ACE has been the recipient of numerous grants including the National Endowment for the Arts, Utah Arts Council, the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts and Parks Fund, and the 2002 Salt Lake Cultural Olympics. Additional Funding is received from the generous contributions of community members, foundations, and in-kind donations.
